FLOUR

In the Bible, grain was an essential substance. It served as food, was given as firstfruits and could also serve as an offering.

It had to be ground to be used as a food source, thus JESUS was crushed to become for us the Bread of Life. He became our grain offering on the cross and also embodies the first fruit offering of all those who would put their trust in Him.

Bread without flour isn't bread. Trying to "bake" your daily bread without an act of relationship with Jesus, is as good as just reading for leisure. Take a little time to talk to Him today - it's essential!

OIL

A symbol of richness, joy, and health, oil is used as nutrition, serves as fuel for lamps and is used to anoint people.

It is also symbolic of the HOLY SPIRIT. Indeed, the Spirit of God helps us to digest spiritual truths just as olive oil plays a digestive role. He sheds light on our understanding regarding the things of God and we can experience Him as tangibly as we would feel the oil on our skin after being anointed.

I invite you to spend some time in worship and enjoy the presence of the Spirit of God. You will be amazed at the difference 10 minutes of true worship will make to your day and to your relationship with God...!
