A bit of His-Story

ABOUT LILA

Indeed, you will be called  "My Delight is in Her," ... for the Lord will take delight in you...- Zechariah 4:10

Hi ! My name is Lila. When I first grasped God's great love for me, it changed everything about my existence. I have been pursuing Him for 28 years, and am still only exploring the tip of the Iceberg ! I am passionate about God and the Truths locked up in His wonderful, living Word..

I love researching information in and around Scripture so as to understand the whole of the Word as completely as possible. Only, it is such a multi-dimensional book (God being a multi-dimensional God!) that it is next to impossible to know all there is to know in one lifetime... As Paul said, we know only in part!

The greatest impact of this knowing-only-in-part business, is that we may change our minds over time about how we interpret certain Scriptures. This is a normal part of maturing I guess, but it means that I might feel differently today about things that I have blogged about in the past. Thus, if you find contradictions in my writings, then always retain the most recent information. It's as simple as that!

My greatest desire would be to kindle in you a desire to run after God. And, if you are already running after Him, then I hope to fan your flame into an ardent desire to seek His face!

May you be blessed by this website and by my writings!

ABOUT THE MUSTARD TREE

Do not despise these small beginnings - Zechariah 4:10

It's all about the journey. The view from the top is amazing, yes, but it's all the more enjoyable because of the effort involved in getting there...!

A few years ago I felt compelled by Holy Spirit to start blogging my thoughts. Or rather the thoughts that He channels through me. I rather hastily started a Facebook page called The Mustard Tree, where I would write entries on a slip-one-knit-one basis. Often months would go by without a single post published and I was amazed to see my community grow in spite of no effort on my behalf to make it known!

It has been a few months now that I have received the prompting to write more, to transfer the wonderful revelations that I have received over time from my journal, to a public support where others may benefit of it too. I initially thought that I had to write a book, and I still might, but I also feel "freely you have received so freely give" (books involve costs, for the writer as for the reader) and "the sooner the better" (books take time to put together!).

A few nights ago, I suddenly felt the urge to create a propper blog, and as a part-time website creator, I didn't waste any time in getting started!

The Mustard Tree will continue to be the spot where I launch my posts, but Food 4 Thoughts will be the "base camp" where everything is neatly categorized, and where you can find handy extra features that are meant to encourage you in your walk with God.

Explore, have fun and grow in beauty, precious one !
