Spiritual Boosters

WITH JOY YOU WILL DRINK DEEPLY FROM THE FOUNTAIN OF SALVATION

- ISAIAH 12:3

The Progression Booster

(Bruce Allen)

One of my favorite teachers, Bruce Allen, often makes the statement "my ceiling is your floor". This can only be true, however, if you choose to adopt & apply the "recipes" that other's have gained through experience, to your own life.

My personal advice would be to not hesitate to learn from others, especially those further advanced than yourself, while taking care to follow the prescribed steps.

Recipe:

- prayerfully measure the received word / revelation to Scripture. It might not be spelled out "as is", but if it does not contradict the Word, you're good to go.

- look at the life of the person you are learning from. If they display the fruit of the Spirit in their life, you can most likely trust them.

- ALWAYS take it to the Secret Place* before you use it! Father always has the last Word!

Some may sound a bit  "out of the box",

but they have nonetheless been

tested and approved!

This handy "recipe" allowed me to literally step out of a profound depression.

It's based on the fact that Jesus has given us authority over darkness. Don't hesitate to try it, but as always, from within that Secret Place!

Recipe:

I prefer posting the "original" recipe by referring you to the below audio by Kat Kerr.

The Relationship Relaxer

(Bruce Allen)

Some people simply can't relate to God as a Father, having themselves had earthly fathers who have let them down. Other people can't relate to Jesus as a bridegroom (men in particular) and feminists might feel that God is too masculine...

Fortunately, God foreknew all of our hangups and made a way around them so we can still enjoy relationship with Him...

Recipe:

- STEP 1 is to lay aside all your preconceived ideas about God. At least for a while.

- STEP 2 is to connect with the person in the Godhead that you feel most comfortable with : A motherly Holy Spirit maybe? Or Jesus as an older brother? God also extends His hand in friendship if the father-figure is too daunting for you. Connect with this person as often as possible so as to build a solid relationship. - STEP 3 : Focus on putting your trust in Him (your "person") and on surrendering. In other words, spend time just sitting with Him, listening to worship music and thinking about His Words. Allow yourself the opportunity to simply enjoy him and get to know Him.

-STEP 4: Soon you will see healing flooding the hurts you used to have and before you know it you will start seeing God for Who He really is. Actually... don't be surprised if He is nothing what you expected...!
