HEAVEN IS SO REAL

That is the name of the movie that we watched tonight. We rarely watch Christian movies... but then again, we rarely watch movies lol. The movie itself was "okay", but what really stopped me in my tracks was a single phrase the pastor in the story had used toward the end of the movie. It boiled down to this: he said that he wasn't called to be a super human, but to help people know that they are not alone. To me, that is the essence of Christianity. Or at least the one I adhere to.

See, I have had ample exposure to all kinds of denominations and jargons: Reformed, Pentecostal, Charismatic, Catholic, etc. I found that these generally have three things in common: 1) a handful of sincere people amidst a great many churchgoers who are missing the point utterly 2) "christianese" (AKA denomination-specific jargon)

3) some form of legalism

I have found that there is not one of these denominations where I feel at home, and yet I CRAVE fellowship and that feeling of belonging. Consequently I feel a bit lost.... But somewhere out there I think there must be a bunch of people who feel exactly the way I do!

2 Days ago I told God that if I want to be anything for Him in this world, I want to be... REAL. I'm possibly going to shock some of you, but I'd rather have a more colourful vocabulary (😳😆), but love my neighbour in such a way that they feel drawn to Christ , than use all of the appropriate terminology and scare away the "outsiders" from the knowledge of Salvation.

I'm sick and tired of "form" that is fake. I want authentic and sincere. I want a place where people won't feel judged when they admit their wrongs, but where love reigns intensively.

I have a dream... a new way of worshiping and fellowshipping... Real people loving a real God... without the burden of legalism pushing us forward (or is it backward...?🤔), but rather the appreciation of Grace DRAWING us into a desire to be holy and righteous, yet real, spontaneous and caring...

"let your Kingdom come... on earth as it is in Heaven"... Amen
