"COME TO ME WITH YOUR MESS"

If you have never been dependant of a substance or something, you CAN NOT know how hard it is to let go.

I have spent the last year in an inexplainable closeness to God - I felt like I could move mountains! And I can, I'm sure, but a while ago Father suddenly showed me that I was to go back into the desert to learn about compassion before I will be allowed to move mountains...

Within a matter of days I became hooked on a physical substance and I could not understand how it was possible after seeing so much of God's glory...! Yet there I was, stuck in a very sticky situation...!

Then, suddenly, the source of my dependance was taken away fomr me, and guess what? My body so craved that thing I was miserable! I had to have it and since I couldn't, I started eating (binging) - something I have not done for so long. I tried so hard to struggle free (and without anybody close to me noticing my dilemma…😉), but it only seemed to get worse. Then I started to notice that I kept on stumbling on messages and songs saying: "Come to Me WITH your mess and let Me handle it"

So I did. I stopped trying to quit and simply focussed on having moments in God's presence again.

This morning He was smiling at me, telling me to look at my life of the past view months and to review what I have learnt. I saw that I have started looking at people differently. More lovingly, less judgingly, more compassionately.

People struggle. Yes, God is almighty and can set each of us free from our own, unique challenging situation or dependance, but He wants to win our hearts first. God is after your heart, your love.

If we as God's children cannot or refuse to understand this, we have no idea who Jesus was while He was on earth!

Why would He say" come to me all who are heavy laden and I will GIVE you rest", if He expects of you to first overcome sin on your own and THEN come to Him. No, come AS YOU ARE. Bring your burden and let Him take care of it. Don't run away from God because of your sin, run TO Him because of your sin.

I don't care what your burden is, He can and will make it better IF you let Him...!
