CONVERTING NEGATIVE ENERGY INTO POSETIVE ENERGY

As a mom I know the importance of being in a good mood. I’m not saying that I am always in a good mood! I have, however, learned from experience, that when I am in a good mood, my home atmosphere is positive and my family is happy, but when I am in a bad mood, exactly the opposite happens!

This morning I was confronted with a situation where one of our family members was having an “off day”. I have seen in the past how this has a tendency to drag everybody down. Listening to the negative remarks that were made, I found myself at some point confronted with the choice to become irritated by this person's behavior, or to deliberately adopt an even more positive behavior in order to compensate for the negativity that that person was generating and spreading in our home. Now, I am not saying that that person's feelings were not legitimate. I am only saying that that negativity should not be allowed to spread and contaminate the rest of the household!

In that specific moment, it was as if time stood still and I heard a whisper of Wisdom. The whisper asked me if I wanted to feel the way that that person was feeling? The answer was simple: no! The mere thought of feeling depressed and unhappy was so repulsive to me that I decided to want exactly the opposite of what was “handed” to me. What actually happened in that instant, was that the negative energy that the person was radiating was converted into positive energy! As a matter of fact, by the end of the day, even the mood of that person had changed

I have come to the conclusion that any negative energy can be converted into positive energy. The condition is simply that we must want it badly enough!
