FAITH & TRUST

Like unidentical twins, these two concepts are close, but they are not the same! Faith is your conviction that God exists and that He is mighty to save and capable of doing the seemingly impossible. Trust is the choice you make to believe that God will use His capacity to do the impossible in your life, to believe that all He says in the Bible is true and that He WILL cause everything to work out for your good - if you let Him. Yes, you have to let go of your own efforts and trust Him entirely... Look at Abraham. He trusted God, but then decided to "help Him" a little by taking the slave-woman and having a child with her. It created problems back then and the descendants of Ishmael are still creating havoc today! If Abraham had trusted God fully, it wouldn't have happened - what a different world we might have lived in...! Everybody has a measure of faith to begin with, but it is only by placing our TRUST in God, that our faith can expand and grow and flourish. Then starts that beautiful chain reaction: the more you trust, the more you will see God intervene in your life, the bigger your faith will grow and the more you will trust Him, etc, etc. YOU have to start the chain reaction, though. Like a match with the potential of burning, a hand has to ignite the flame. God has given you all the tools, but you have to CHOOSE to "go for it". And if you do, God will NEVER let you down!!
