GENESIS 1 vs JOHN1

G1:1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

J1:1 In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God, and the Word was God Himself. 2 He was in the beginning with God

G1:2 The earth was formless and void or a waste and emptiness, and darkness was upon the face of the deep. The Spirit of God was moving over the face of the waters.

J1:3 All things were made and came into existence through Him; and without Him not even one thing was made that has come into being

G1:3 And God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light.

 J1:4 In Him was life and the life was the Light of men.

G1:4 God saw that the light was good and He affirmed and sustained it; and God separated the light from the darkness.

J1:5 The Light shines on in the darkness, and the darkness did not understand it or overpower it orappropriate it or absorb it
