ONCE SAVED ALWAYS SAVED...? GUESS AGAIN...

It is so reassuring to see salvation as a ticket to heaven. Once saved always saved... so many people live by it. But what if that was a lie...?🤔

According to 1Cor 15:2, salvation is not a once-off thing. The greek verb translated as saved in many translations, actually indicates a continued action. It is a process. It is a journey!

That moment when you realize the Truth, when you "come to Jesus", you walk through a door, but thereafter you are supposed to journey onward: from being a man governed by his flesh to a man governed by his spirit. Your life is supposed to transition from a worldly kingdom to a spiritual kingdom, from a mortal body to an immortal body... (and it’s not supposed to happen “only when we die”...)

If salvation to you is a date or a place, and since then it has been “business as usual”, then you might want to reconsider where you are standing with God...! You might be missing out bigtime... I’m not saying that you are not going to heaven, but salvation is actually not “just” about going to heaven when we die. It is about LIVING Heaven right here right now!

You know, sometimes we have that gnawing frustration in our gut that we just can’t shake? It is often our spirit man protesting and moaning within us, contending with us to turn from our mere daily existence (survival mode?!) toward fulfilling our destiny!!

It’s not about legalism and getting stuck in a rut of do’s and don’ts. It’s about throwing ourselves into a very unique relationship with a very exceptional Being... and surrendering to it COMPLETELY!

I won’t sugarcoat it, it has its challenges! But the benefits outweigh the inconveniences by so far 😌It’s a phenomenal, exciting, life changing, supernatural adventure that we have to choose on a daily basis. It has the power to transform us, if we let it, into friends of God.

And, if we are willing, there is the “premium” option, more daring and more costly, but that has the power to transform us into Elijah’s and Enochs.......!!
