SPIRITUALLY TIRED?

Come on, you know it’s true. We’ve all known times when we’ve thought: “I’m just so tired of praying and doing everything I know to do, but my prayers don’t get answered...”
When we are too tired to continue being engaged Christians, what is this saying about our walk with God?
The Bible says that “they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”, (Isaiah 40:31).
There is a CONDITION and a PROMISE.
The condition is to "wait" on God, the equivalent of relationship. Looking at the screenshots below, you will see what that original Hebrew word refers to.

It's a very positive term that speaks of expectation, hope and eagerness. It is not a solemn obedient Bible study (though we need that too!), it is an “intertwinedness” of our lives with God! If we walk with God like that, we will automatically receive the promise!

So if we are not experiencing the promise, we can assume that we are missing the mark when it comes to our relationship with Him.
Sometimes when I had spent hours in prayer and pleading and suddenly shut up long enough for God to speak, I heard Him say: “so how’s all of this striving working out for you?” 🤣 Lol yes, He has a sense of humour!!
In those moments I have realised that I have been so drowned in my FEAR that my prayers, however fervent, weren’t conversation with Him, seeking real solutions, but they were in fact empty efforts allowing me to say:
“Wow I’ve prayed so much for this!”
The blatant truth is that I have experienced greater "success" with 2minute prayers when it was done from a position of trust and real conversation with God, than with all of the rest!
Striving is exhausting. Surrendering to a relationship where we allow Him to lead and decide is, however, characterized by peace and rest! If you don’t believe me... taste and see...!!
