BEAUTIFUL REVELATIONS: A BOOK LIKE NO OTHER

I am currently study the book of Revelations from the perspective of The PASSION TRANSLATION and for the first time in my life I understand why this book carries a promise if great blessing. It contains solid and practical advise to help us pursue God and grow close to Him!

As an introduction, and in the hope of inspiring you to explore this extraordinary Bible book as well, I am sharing here my personal notes on Revelations 2 to 3:

LETTERS TO THE CHURCHES

The 1st letter is to the beloved church (Ephesus) and is an invitation to trade religion for relationship, a call to return to intimacy. The reward is access to paradise.

If God is our 1st love we have free access to feast in paradise.

This reveals the 1st key to pursue after salvation: intimate relationship. Intimate relationship has a spiritual place of refuge: paradise (we are seated in Heavenly places) that can be accessed right here and right now from within our spirit being.

2nd letter is to the suffering church (Smyrna). Christ, who suffered 1st and understands our earthly apprehensions, reminds the church not to succumb to fear. It’s an invitation to victorious living which safeguards against the 2nd death.

The 2nd key to spiritual progression is to REFUSE fear so we may live a victorious life.

3rd letter is to a faithful church (Pergamum) that is called to move from the seen (that which is elevated in the natural) to the unseen (the hidden manna).

It’s an invitation to be cleansed by the Words of His mouth (Scriptures as well as Revelations)

Pergamum also means “married” and thus the white stone speaks of an intimate covenant relationship promised to those who remain faithful.

The 3rd key is the choice of commitment. This engagement will kickstart a shift from dwelling in the seen, carnal realm, to dwelling also but predominantly in the unseen, spiritual realm

4th letter is to the church who is constantly laying down her life (Thyatira) and surrenders herself to be searched by God (Eyes of Fire) and to His judgement (feet of bronze).

It’s an invitation to come out of compromise and witchcraft & simply hold on to Christ. This is the only way to progress in spiritual authority. This authority, awarded by Jesus, is in brightness like a morning star that announces a new day, a day of the Kingdom invading the earth (see https://www.miqlat.org/the-morning-star.htm)

The 4th key is dying to self. It introduces us to ruling and reigning and will ultimately lead to doing the greater works, as Christ promised.

5th letter is to the church who escapes spiritual slumber (Sardis). It’s an invitation to remain alert and having our oil lamps filled (interaction) with the 7-fold spirit. The sanctification that comes from being inhabited by the 7fold Spirit leads to official recognition in Heaven both in writing (the Books) and verbal validation (before Father and the angels)

The 5th key is accompanied by a warning against spiritual slumber that may come with spiritual pride (when we think we know enough to be okay). The key is to desire indwelling by the 7 spirits of God, which is a full and complete indwelling by Holy Spirit in all of His manifestations.

6th letter is to a church that displays brotherly love (Philadelphia) and walks in the revelation that John had of God’s love for him. This Love opens doors that can’t be shut but requires perseverance.

It’s an invitation to be a pillar in the church through a life dedicated to Love. The reward is divine protection from persecution through a “tattooed” seal displaying God’s name and indicates that that person is his property and therefore untouchable, as John was.

I believe this is what determines who will ne part of the Bride because these will also be tattooed with the New Jerusalem...

The 6th key is love love love! Choosing love, pursuing love, living love, thinking love, dwelling in Love. Studying the life of John is a big help because he understood this better than any of the other disciples

7th letter is to a church running after human rights and self-righteousness (Laodicea). Its a church pursuing the prosperity gospel instead of Heavenly treasures and who is utterly blind.

It’s an invitation to repentance and surrender and to OPEN THE DOOR WITHIN (door of the eyes of our heart & imagination) that gives access to God’s throne, the ultimate seat of Authority.

The 7th key is once again accompanied by a warning against pursuing the wrong goal: earthly prosperity. The key is surrender, which is the ultimate key, that will open the door within so we may move between realms at will.
