WHEN CHRISTMAS DIED…

Let me tell you a Christmas story 😉

Once upon a time, an evil ruler invaded a country and build for himself a city where much evil was done. Many innocent people were drawn into sin and witchcraft.😢

After many years, a good King came and defeated the evil ruler, who was banished from the land, and the King claimed the city for himself. He transformed the city into a beautiful, loving place filled with the sound of laughter and bells, joy and kindness.

Another few years down the line, descendants of the evil king started to spread rumors that the good king should not live in a city that has such an evil background, that he was too good for that and that anyone living in the city was actually dishonoring the good King.

Because the people did not understand how the King’s love could overcome even the worst of sins, many started to abandon the city and caused it to fall back into the hands of the evil descendants.

Slowly but surely the innocent laughter and atmosphere of loving kindness was replaced by sounds of vile drunkenness and an atmosphere of greed and jealousy.

The citizens who have left condemned the city, saying « yes, we have done well to leave such an evil place! Those who remain there will perish in their sins »

What they did not realize, was that it was THEIR absence and abandonment of the city that had shifted the authority and caused it to become evil again.

Indeed, they had more faith in the evil reports and the bad heritage of the enemy, than in the goodness and redemptive power of the good King…

My question to you is this : do you have more faith in the enemy ‘s capacity to do evil, or in our good God’s capacity to redeem and save? Are you living in a « demon behind every bush » mindset, or are you overcoming by the power of « tetelestai » (Jesus’s last words on the cross meaning it is done)?

Come let us rejoice in the fact that He is come and is our glorious, unconditional and all-inclusive Overcomer ! Let us rejoice and give Him glory ! Let us KICK the enemy in the teeth and put back the Christ in Christ-mas…! 😁
