LOVE vs LAW… FREEDOM vs BONDAGE

I love the Law and what it teaches! The Law given to Moses was indeed beautiful and perfect. So perfect, in fact, that none could succeed in keeping it. The Law’s purpose was to reveal a more excellent way, the law of Love!
Jesus came to fulfil the Law, not to abolish it. He came to make fulfilling it attainable - through Grace!
Yes, Love fulfils the law. But I’m not referring to that human emotion, prone to lust and jealousy, that we so carelessly label as love. I’m talking about the 1 Cor 13 version : Perfected Love.
If we live surrendered to the Perfected Love of God, we fulfil the Law! We do not need to follow rules and rituals because Love will keep us from doing anything that is disrespectful, unjust or harmful toward God, another person and ourselves.
It is certainly not wrong to live a Hebraic lifestyle, but it most definitely isn’t necessary. The thing is that, in doing so, we are actually saying that we do not believe Grace is enough… and if we subject ourselves willingly to the Law instead of surrendering ourselves to Grace, then we also subject ourselves to the curse that the Law brings if we do not follow it scrupulously… This means sickness, suffering and all kinds of afflictions…
How it works is that the enemy can only afflict you if you legally give him the right to. We do this by engaging in something that is outside of the “Tetelestai” of Christ., (tetelestai means “it is finished”) such as becoming a slave to sin or a slave to the Law, rather than a slave to Love.
The Law does bring blessing to those who keep it, which is why many argue in favor of keeping it. But it also brings a curse if you slip -up, whereas the Law of Love (Grace) ONLY brings blessing!
I do not judge those who choose this lifestyle, but they should know that living the Law instead of living Love is burdening ourselves with a yoke that is not that of our Messiah!
After all, Christ has come so we may be truly free…
“Therefore, my fellow believers, you too died to the Law through the [crucified] body of Christ, so that you may belong to another, to Him who was raised from the dead, in order that we may bear fruit for God.” Romans 7:4 AMP
