Because there are many voices and many pitfalls out there, and also many gullible Christians...
Leviticus 10:10 ...and so as to make a distinction between the holy and the profane, and between the unclean and the clean.
Be careful of anyone giving themselves titles. Such as prophet, apostle etc. A title is earned. Received. Not appropriated. One of the greatest prophets of our time, John Paul Jackson, refused to accept to be called a prophet because he understood what a true prophet was. We label people too easily and then put them on a pedestal.😢 Another, and probably best, example of all times, is Jesus, who could have insisted on being called many things, yet hadn't.
1 SAMUEL 16:7 But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look at his appearance or at the height of his stature, because I have rejected him; for God sees not as man sees, for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”
Be careful of mouvements (ministries) that come with all kinds of jargons. They may sound spiritual and clever but behind it may be pitfalls. Again look at Jesus - He talked plainly, making his message accessible to all.
ISAIAH 11:3 And He will delight in the fear of the Lord, And He will not judge by what His eyes see, Nor make a decision by what His ears hear;
Be careful of ministries that “market” the supernatural. Yes, the supernatural is part of our heritage, and it is sadly neglected, BUT it is discovered through relationship with God and not through ANY other way. Especially not through “ascension groups” that do not first teach foundation from the Word.
So if it sounds too good to be true... it probably is! 😆
2 TIMOTHY 4:3-4 For the time will come when people will not tolerate sound doctrine and accurate instruction [that challenges them with God’s truth]; but wanting to have their ears tickled [with something pleasing], they will accumulate for themselves [many] teachers [one after another, chosen] to satisfy their own desires and to support the errors they hold, and will turn their ears away from the truth and will wander off into myths and man-made fictions [and will accept the unacceptable].
Be careful when you have to pay to receive revelation...😳... Rather turn to the One who gives revelation free of charge. 😌
I’m not referring to authors (even though I would love to see more christian authors give away at least some of their books rather than selling them - I know very few who do that). Here I’m referring to people promising revelation knowledge in zoom sessions “because they are only allowed to share it with those who buy tickets” 😳.
Ask yourself: did Jesus ask the crowds to pay to be part of the inner circle?
The fact that Jesus cleansed the temple is supposed to be a warning to all ministries. If a ministry becomes an excuse to ask for money then there is something not lekka going on 😬
ROMANS 12:2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.
Be extremely careful what you lend your eyes and ears to...! Stop listen to / reading every message you receive. Test the spirit behind every post - even this one!😜 If you pick up fear, condemnation or anything that doesn’t gel with the Word of God, ignore it!
PSALM 119:66 Teach me good discernment and knowledge, For I believe in Your commandments.
May Father help us to become more mature in this time, not settling for anything but Him in the purest possible form...! 😌
HEBREWS 5:14 But solid food is for the mature, who because of practice have their senses trained to discern good and evil.
